HR’s role in managing payroll systems in Fashiontex International Limited
(BRAC University, 2024) Chhonya, Mehazabin Alam; Andalib, Tarnima Warda; BRAC Business School
My internship at Fashiontex International Limited enabled me to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the manual payroll management system and HR role in payroll efficiency, with precise compliance and employee satisfaction. The survey was conducted with 20 employees, each answering questions based on the Likert scale-measurement rating the payroll process through different aspects. The result favored a great share of positive opinion for compliance, nevertheless highlighted doubts about the correctness of payroll processing and need for technological innovations. Data analysis also revealed that while employees were grateful for timely payroll handling, they wished for greater automation-taking out the manual connections. A substantive outline will forward the workability of payroll management to be improved by enhancing employee satisfaction and retention in the company. My internship experience has given me more realization about the way HR traditionally worked for the garment industry, experimenting with how effective operations of a payroll system could be an enabler for organizational survival and success.

Financial analysis of introducing renewable lithium battery storage system for Dongjin Longervity Industry Limited
(BRAC University, 2026-01) Islam, Shahidul; Hoque, Mohammad Enamul; BRAC Business School
I have been recruited as a Finance Intern at Dongjin Longervity Industry Limited. I have analyzed the market feasibility for introducing a lithium renewable battery storage system in Bangladesh. The nation’s energy demands have been increasing. There are possibilities of supportive government policies for renewable energy in the future. On the contrary, electricity costs have been rising. Thus, the lithium renewable battery market has potential growth opportunities. Dongjin has good networks with engineering firms, biomedical equipment manufacturers, and government projects. Thus, the company can think about introducing renewable energy storage solutions. Nevertheless, a complete analysis provides major opportunities and challenges. Regulatory unpredictability, huge initial investment costs, technological adaptation challenges, and economic instabilities affect consumer behavior and are the major challenges in this regard. Furthermore, environmental awareness regarding battery disposal as well as uncertainty regarding supply chain carry probable risks. Though these challenges linger in the corner, my analysis shows that going into this market would align with Bangladesh's sustainability goals. In the long run it will benefit Dongjin. To achieve the goal, Dongjin needs to focus on selecting strategic partners and exhaust their existing resources. Dongjin Longervity Industry Limited may avail a big piece of cake in the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. They should foster an environment of long-term growth and profitability. This analysis will shed light on these vital points.

An analysis of the recruitment & talent acquisition process at Meghna Group of Industries
(BRAC University, 2025-12) Rafin, Asifuzzaman Khan; Islam, M. Nazmul; BRAC Business School
The internship report "An Analysis of the Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Process at Meghna Group of Industries (MGI)" offers an in-depth look of the hiring procedures and difficulties in one of the biggest companies in Bangladesh. This report suggestsprovidingpractical information on the recruitment policies and systemsthat the human resources department of MGI has used to organize massive recruitment programs to meet the diverse workforce needs of its business units, which include manufacturing, logistics, textiles, and fast-moving consumer goodsand many more.As I worked in theHR department during my three-month internship, I was able to observe and carry out crucial duties such asscreening resumes, communicating with candidates, coordinating interviews, managing employee files, documenting, entering PMS dataand performingon boarding procedures. This study concludes that despite the systematic nature of the methods employed by MGI to acquire talents, which include identification, short listing, interviewing and on boarding of candidates, the system has several weaknesses. The high centralization of recruitment processes at headquarters, the administrative burden, and delays caused by coordination make large-scale recruitment campaigns ineffective. The department has not been using many HR technologies but still relies heavily on paper and manual communication; moreover, the recruitment process is complicated by the lack of standardized guidelines for documenting and assessing employees. Despite such challenges, the human resources department of MGI has a laudable track record of getting the right person in the right place at the right time, and this aspect has been attained through teamwork, multi-tasking and optimizing the available interns who enhance the operational efficiency significantly. The results highlight the extreme urgency of embracing digital hiring tools, decentralization of some HR processes, and a more standardized structure in order to increase productivity and improve the jobseeker experience. In addition to improving knowledge of business HR procedures, this report offers insightful suggestions for improving MGI's hiring process. As an intern, I saw the experience as a chance to develop real-world skills, comprehend actual HR difficulties, and close the knowledge gap between academic study and professional implementation.

The time spent in AKH is worthy since it has given me the opportunity to explore myself, identify my shortcomings, rectification of errors, guidance on thing make happen. Meeting deadlines, punctuality, timeliness and respect at work to each other from all levels of the entity. The skill and knowledge gathered from AKH will allow me to do my jobs in better way along with integrity and forecasting ability. The knowledge learnt their will give me the confidence for making decisions and act as a team member. The company's finances have gotten better, and they expect to make more money and have more profits in the next fiscal periods. But the falling of ROE and NPM in 2023 show that the company needs to make some strategic changes to keep the profit at the expected level to ensure a steady return for shareholders. The high dividend retention ratio except for FY 2023 suggests that the company is focused on reinvesting for future growth.

This report aims to discuss the results and learning experience of the internship program at Rongobuy Private Limited, which is undertaken as a requirement of the MBA degree course at BRAC University. The report, titled "Digital Marketing Strategies to Boost E-Commerce Sales," identifies the main activities, plans, obstacles, and successes of digital marketing operations on one of the leading e-commerce platforms. The internship, which took place between November 20, 2024, and February 27, 2025, was conducted under the guidance of Md. Hafizur Rahman, Director of Marketing. My responsibilities included social media management, content creation, market research, campaign execution, competitor analysis, and performance analysis using analytical tools. These tasks provided hands-on experience with leading digital marketing instruments such as SEO, PPC, email automation, and Google Analytics. Rongobuy’s digital marketing strategy focused on content marketing, social media promotions, email campaigns, and paid advertisements to attract and retain customers, strengthen brand awareness, and increase sales. During the internship, social media engagement improved by roughly 25%, while sales conversion rose by approximately 12% due to targeted campaigns and optimized advertisements. In contrast, the company faced challenges such as budget constraints that limited ad reach and campaign participation rates below 40% in some seasonal promotions, emphasizing the need for better audience segmentation and creative refinement. Based on these insights, three key recommendations are proposed: 1. Prioritize data-driven content planning to align campaign messaging with target audience interests. 2. Reallocate promotional budgets toward the highest-performing digital channels identified through analytics. 3. Implement continuous A/B testing to refine ad performance and maximize engagement efficiency. Overall, the internship provided a meaningful integration of academic learning and professional practice, offering real-world exposure to digital marketing operations and strengthening the technical, analytical, and collaborative competencies required for a successful marketing career.
