Understanding IT operations in the banking sector: internship at Agrani Bank PLC. IT department

An outline of my three-month internship at Agrani Bank PLC’s Information Technology (IT) Department is provided in this report. The goal of the internship was to impart useful knowledge about how IT oversees and supports banking operations. I saw a variety of IT operations during this time, including data management, software support, network security, and system maintenance. Additionally, I learned about cybersecurity procedures, the core banking system (CBS), and the function of IT in guaranteeing efficient transaction processing and digital banking services, such as online banking, ATM services, and mobile banking apps. My understanding of how IT supports data security, operational effectiveness, and better customer service in the banking industry has improved as a result of my internship. It also shed light on how IT departments maintain system uptime, oversee network infrastructure, and fix technical problems to guarantee continuous banking services. All things considered, this internship expanded my understanding of banking IT architecture and increased my desire to work in digital banking systems and banking technology.

Software engineering internship at Datasoft Systems Bangladesh Limited

This report documents a comprehensive software engineering internship at Data- Soft Systems Bangladesh Limited. This internship involved the development of two primary projects, one is Training PRO and other is DocuCraft Pro. Training PRO is an asynchronous Learning Management System (LMS) that uses Redis for real time progress tracking across various media formats. DocuCraft Pro is an advanced document processing tool which provides multi-method architecture like No OCR, Tesseract based OCR and GenAI based extraction to handle the complex structure of Bangla documents, specifically converting Bijoy encoding into standard Unicode. Beside the projects, the internship experience included working with the Business Analyst team, gaining Software Quality Assurance (SQA) knowledge and exploring Android development with Java. Technical exposure was also included with DevOps,Docker, CI/CD pipelines and Nginx for load balancing. Throughout the internship, technical challenges for example facing API limits, handling complex PowerPoint structures are overcome through resourceful engineering. The internship helps the transition from theoretical academic knowledge to professional industry oriented real world full stack development, AI and API integration and collaborative software engineering within an Agile environment.

Development of a responsive business website for Gulshan fashion house using wordpress and modern frontend technologies

The report is a documentation of how to create a responsive web site of a business establishment, Gulshan Fashion House, done during a time of internship in the web development field. The project was intended to develop a user-friendly, Web-based online shop based on WordPress, current frontend technologies, and WooCommerce service, due to the necessity of the company to have a better online presence. The web site aimed at increased interactions with the customers, simplified web-based orders and gave the administration ability to manage product listing, stock and customer communication. The process of development included a number of essential stages, and they were the gathering of initial requirements, designing, implementation, testing, and deployment. It has a responsive design enabling easy functionality on every device, has secure product catalog management and gateway(s) to make payments. Agile approach was adopted with the aim of sustaining the iterative process in the project, and the client was to provide regular feedback to the client to focus the website on their brand image and business objectives. Issues like debugging, compatibility with other systems, and optimizing GUI were met with problems in learning and close interaction with the developer team. The report has identified the technical capabilities acquired such as WordPress customization, principle of responsive design, and e-commerce functionality. It also highlights the significance of working as a team, communication, and cooperation with clients in the successful accomplishment of the project. The experience was useful as it gave me an opportunity to understand the practical use of web development, which would be grounded in future professional activities in the technology field. The project did not only increase the online presence of Gulshan Fashion House, but also helped in personal and professional development in web development, project management, and client relationship.

Internship report as an automation engineer

This report presents the outcomes of an internship conducted at NEXT Ventures, a multinational fintech company, where the primary focus was on workflow automation using the open-source platform n8n, alongside frontend engineering practices. The internship aimed to identify repetitive and time-consuming operational tasks and transform them into scalable, automated workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability within organizational processes. Throughout the internship, several real-world automation solutions were designed and implemented, including automated payment processing, Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding, meeting scheduling with reminders, and weekly performance tracking systems. These workflows integrated multiple services and APIs, significantly reducing manual intervention and operational errors. An iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach was followed to ensure continuous improvement, stakeholder feedback incorporation, and system scalability. In addition to automation, the internship involved hands-on frontend development using modern technologies such as React, Tailwind CSS, API integration, state management, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization techniques. Close collaboration with design and product teams ensured usability, responsiveness, and alignment with business requirements. The internship demonstrates the practical applicability of low-code workflow automation tools like n8n in a real-world fintech environment. The results highlight how effective automation and frontend integration can enhance productivity, operational transparency, and long-term process optimization. This experience contributed significantly to the development of technical, analytical, and professional skills relevant to modern software engineering practices.

A comparative study of Gemini generated personas and real user personas for restaurant POS design

The work experience under the internship is recorded in this report, which is based on the position of a UI/UX Designer in the design of a Restaurant Point of Sales(POS) Design at Bdcalling IT Ltd. In particular, it demonstrates a case study of incorporating Human Computer Interaction (HCI) which focuses more on real world human users prior to the creation of interactive systems, but with the recent increase in the accessibility of large language models (LLMs) like Google Gemini, designers of user personas are evolving their views of the task. The paper presents a personal post internship research that presents a comparative study systematically of personas developed using real restaurant employees versus personas developed using Gemini of similar positions in a restaurant point of sale (POS) design. Based on HCI and UX literature on personas and synthetic users, the study develops and evaluates the hypothesis that Gemini generated personas can be used to approximate real user personas regarding the high level attitude and task objectives but it is systematically under representative of local infrastructural, organizational and cultural constraints. A structured questionnaire was used to gather new field data with the restaurant managers, cashiers, waiters and kitchen staff, and similar Gemini personas were generated by using detailed prompts to describe the same scenario. The most significant constructs included learning comfort with new software (1-5) and the rating of the importance of POS features (1-3) that were aligned among the groups and compared with the Mann Whitney U test that was adequate in the case of small and independent samples with ordinal Likert type data. Findings indicate that Gemini personas are quite close to actual staff on such large constructs as comfort with technology and the value of fast order entry and split bill support, and are more conservative in terms of the strength of issues relating to stock visibility, offline resilience and staff level accountability as reported by workers. The paper concludes that Gemini generated personas can be useful to jumpstart early HCI work, particularly when resources are limited, but it must be applied as a baseline and confirmed against actual user data before it is applied to make critical design choices in human centered software engineering.

Designing and developing Shukria Meat: a comprehensive retail web platform

This report documents a six-month Software Developer Internship at Skarbol.Tech (February 2–July 31), highlighting the design and development of “Shukria Meat,” a modern web platform for the meat retail domain. The platform enables customers to browse categorized products, discover outlet locations, read frequently asked questions, and subscribe to newsletters. The system was implemented using Next.js 14 (App Router) with TypeScript for the frontend, Drizzle ORM with MySQL for the data layer, CSS Modules for modular styling, and a custom authentication context for session management. In parallel, I contributed to additional initiatives including an AI-powered virtual assistant prototype, a portable water filtration concept, and several small applications (Weather App, IP Tracker, Login, To–Do, JavaScript games). The internship provided hands-on exposure to agile practices, full-stack development, API testing, collaborative version control, and industry-standard security practices. The experience meaningfully strengthened my technical competence and professional skills.

Moreover, it has a data center of its own to support cloud hosting and its managed services portfolio. Cloud-based solutions, enterprise systems, web and mobile application development, and custom software development are all included in the company’s portfolio. SYSSOLUTION seeks to improve user engagement, operational efficiency, and long-term growth for its clients by utilizing cutting-edge technologies and a client-centric strategy. I have learned how to manage a system and generate new ideas from my work at SYSSOLUTION. They encouraged me to learn more about emerging technologies and progress in my network engineering profession. My networking abilities have increased as a result of working with them. Therefore, I have gained new ideas about networking and customer management by working there.

Internship as an IT and product management intern at Alpha Commerz Ltd.

Course work is the pivotal support beam of an internship program and a central connecting link between theoretical principles and hands-on experience. My internship with Alpha Commerz Ltd. as an IT and Product Management Intern exposed me to a highly productive learning process that greatly expanded my understanding of digital product management and IT business operations. During my tenure, I performed a series of activities from product listing and management, market analysis, demand and supply analysis, cost and price analysis, and strategic-level decision-making. Product content writing and management was one of the core aspects of my work that maintained consistency and differentiation across generations and devices. I was also significantly engaged in creating advertising materials to enhance product visibility and sales. My responsibility was to become proficient in technical requirements, business trends, and customer requirements in order to provide data-driven suggestions for enhancing product performance. My experience made me proficient in handling digital product life cycles, monitoring IT systems, and content creation at a strategic level. In addition, working with multi-functional teams taught me to synchronize product and IT planning with market requirements and enhance my communication, team building, and analytical skills. This internship served to link theoretical concepts learned in an academic setting to their practical implications in a business setting. It provided me with great insight into the way information technology and product management can be integrated to enhance business development. The experience and skills gained from this internship have enhanced my ability to adapt to changing and competitive situations of information technology and product management, thereby preparing me for future professional challenges. It has also provided me with a well-rounded perspective on the dynamic interactions among technology, product strategy, and market demand.

Building scalable and secure software solutions to empower modern digital transformation

With the current advent of digital, practically all businesses quickly go through their digital transformations adopting software-driven business environments that require to be scalable and secure. The internship project at RubyTech was centered around the development of a scalable and highly efficient software system to be able to handle project management processes at enterprise level, that would include task management, authentication security and performance enhancements. The system was built with the ability to transmit all the data in real-time with an increased level of reliability using such tools as React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and security protocol such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT. The methodology involved the use of waterfall in the project which entailed the design of use case, ER diagrams, Class diagrams and activity diagrams. Real examples of implementation were also shown, including code snippets and UI elements, and combine the theoretical concepts of the show into working solutions. This report also offers summaries the process of development, issues encountered and the experience gained as an insight into designing secure and scalable system architecture as it is developed by a developer.

UI/UX design and evaluation of a parking management system (user & admin)

This report contains the results of a four-month-long UI/UX internship at Crystal Technology Bangladesh in the field of the design of a full Parking Management System that includes the user-facing and administrator-facing interfaces. The user application supports parking location discovery, slot availability in real time, booking and payment, and profile dashboard. The admin system consists of control dashboard, parking slots management, user and booking management, and analytics. The work was done from a low fidelity prototype (light theme) to a high fidelity, dark SaaS design (blue-gray surfaces with teal/violet accents). The design process was based on an academic approach: requirement elicitation, creation, task analysis, rapid wireframing, component driven design, accessibility review and moderated usability testing. The skills gained from the internship included gains in design systems, information architecture, accessibility, responsive behavior, error state copy, and design to development hand off. The final deliverables are a Figma component library, redlines/specs, and annotated user flows for mobile and desktop breakpoints.

During internships, students may familiarize themselves with a particular field of work, gain valuable work experience, develop their professional connections, and improve their probability of obtaining a permanent or temporary position with the internship hosting firm. For students, internships provide several substantial advantages. An internship journey in web and app development

This report provides an overview of my internship at Baula Innovations, a technology startup located in Dhaka, where I served as a Web and App Development Intern. Throughout my time there, I assisted in developing Appayon, a digital food delivery service that specializes in home catering. The internship aimed to enhance my knowledge and application of contemporary web development methodologies, particularly Agile, and to engage in backend development as a component of the app creation process. During my role, I worked on various features of the platform, which allowed me to gain valuable insights into the complete product development life cycle and the practical challenges associated with constructing scalable web applications. I worked as a Tech Operations Intern and supported the operational procedures, kept inventory data updated, coordinated with suppliers, and gained knowledge about fundamental IT infrastructure components. Although I operated primarily from home since the internship was flexible, I gained a great deal of knowledge about the operations of an IT hardware company, improved my professional communication skills, and improved my knowledge of how enterprise IT functions.

Game designer/developer internship at Technomagic Private Limited

This internship report is presented based on my interning training period at Technomagic Pvt. Ltd from 1st May, 2024 until the end of November 2024. Technomagic is one of the leading studio and software firm in Bangladesh. Established in 2013, focusing on creating and developing a wide array of interactive experiences ranging animated movies, virtual reality and augmented reality games, VFX and software solutions, advancing storytelling in these mediums using next cutting-edge technologies. This internship is required to graduate from BRACU University’s B.Sc in Computer Science Program. This is the final internship report for the completion of the CSE400 course. The key learning objectives, the primary projects I worked on, the internship objectives I accomplished, and how I got my first experience in the field of Augmented Reality and Virtuality Reality Game Development – will all be discussed in depth in this report, in the dedicated chapters. By studying this report, one can get a primary idea on this industry culture, current trends and guidelines on how one can hope to get involved in the industry of Game Development on a global scale.

Internship as an Odoo ERP developer

Odoo ERP has been a significant initiative aimed at improving our asset management, employee tracking, and workflow automation. It focuses on developing an Asset Management Module that will replace the standard fleet module, enabling us to supervise assets such as laptops, desktops, and other office equipment. This module makes it very easy to assign assets, monitoring their status, and tracking maintenance. At the same time it offers easy access to historical data. Additionally, enhancements to the Employee Module has been integrated to streamline employee data management, onboarding, and asset allocation. A custom email server and notification system was implemented to automate alerts for new employees, project updates, and asset status changes, ensuring real-time communication across departments. With a redesigned UI/UX approach to improve navigation, mobile compatibility, and dashboard efficiency user experience remains a top priority. There are future plans to make the reporting tools better, link different modules with each other better, and automate the sytem to streamline business tasks. Odoo 17 is easy to modify and adapt making it a good alternative for managing resources, increasing productivity, and keep everything working efficiently.

Working under Datasys Limited as an web developer intern

This is the final internship report which gives a snapshot of my experience as a Web Development Intern at Datasys Limited that lasted for six months from 1st December 2024 to 31st May 2025. My primary responsibility in this internship was to assist in the project named “Permanent Residency Certificate web application” which was a government project built for the tribal communities living in Rangamati district. The main purpose was to help them get Permanent Residency Certificates more easily. Previously, people had to wait for months and deal with lots of paperwork. However, this new digital system will allow them to apply online and get their certificates within just a few days. Through this project, I learned modern web technologies such as Laravel framework, MongoDB, Vue.js, Node.js, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript for full-stack web development. Simultaneously, thanks to this internship experience, I developed several important soft skills including professional communication, time management, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability in a real work environment.

Developing a secure and scalable o internet service provider using CISCO networking technologies

This project focuses on designing and simulating a secure Internet Service Provider (ISP) network using Cisco Packet Tracer, with an emphasis on layer 3 switching, VLAN segmentation, and Proper security configurations. The network was built using Cisco layer 3 switches, and Firewalls to ensure that the network is robust, scalable and secure. Key configurations include VLAN Trunking, Access Control Lists, DHCP setup, OSPF Configuration(for internal communication), BGP Configuration( for communication with the IIG network) and port security to mitigate common threats such as unauthorized access, spoofing, and DDOS attacks. The simulation successfully demonstrated a functional ISP network with proper traffic management redundancy and security policies. This project serves as a practical reference for implementing secure enterprise-grade networks using Cisco technologies. This internship is a compulsory course for the completion of my Bachelor’s degree at BRAC university and so, I have to submit this report on which my work as an intern Network Engineer at AccessTel will be evaluated. I have shared the work culture, the office environment and the company profile in this report. I have also mentioned about my learning and experience at AccessTel. It will provide a very comprehensive review of my experience and the projects I have been working on as an intern Network Engineer at AccesTel.

Internship experience report: advancing quality assurance skills at Planet X Incorporation

During my internship at Planet X Inc., On the large scale I contributed to two large projects: the Footsteps Bangladesh web application and the Scholar Jimmy Library. To check the programs and beneficiaries it included tracking, robust functionality, usability, performance, and security on the Footsteps Bangladesh application. I have implemented QA practices like functional testing using Jest, performance testing using k6, as well security testing using OWASP ZAP. My contribution in AI driven tool Scholar Jimmy Library project is back-end QA to make the user’s interaction with the tool smooth and quick. This report reflects about the projects I worked in, the di!culties I’ve encountered and what I’ve gained professionally in those projects, how structured QA process helps us give out a quality product.

PSSRcomp: a detailed analysis of secondary protein structure prediction

The field of protein structure research has seen a significant transformation with the introduction of deep learning. Based on protein primary structure sequences, predicting secondary structures plays a crucial role in determining and understanding the roles of an amino acid sequence. Protein structural analysis was traditionally performed using time-consuming and sometimes imprecise technologies. We composed four types of prebuilt models - LSTM, RNN, GNN, ANN, etc, to predict secondary structures from different latest datasets of PDBbind and PISCES to understand the learning process HMM, Sequence embedding, and PSSM in a broader sense of machine readability. The q3 and q8 states of the secondary sequence are measured and analyzed for their distribution throughout the data set to comprehend their structural properties. In the post-AlphaFold era, these amino acid sequence data were theoretically capped at 94% accuracy. Our research hyper-optimized those approaches to find effective sequence prediction methods for better accuracy. Our optimized model acquired 0.9031 accuracy with impressive test results and custom evaluation metrics. This integration facilitates the relationship between protein structural properties to identify differences between protein learning models. Personalized treatment, drug development, and a better understanding of illnesses have all been made possible by the capacity to predict protein structures using these cutting-edge deep learning approaches reliably. However, it is important to use these computational models as a backup. Human expertise and domain knowledge are essential to interpret and validate data.

e-Tender : an enterprise resource planning module for automated tender contract management at Essential Drugs Company Limited

Joining the workforce right after graduation can be quite the daunting task, as youare quite literally shoved into a corporate space without really having any sort offormer training or experience. But being able to utilize said opportunity to learnfrom it and become more knowledgeable as well as capable should be ones truemotive.During the past few months, I had gained the opportunity of working at the autonomous government organization ”Essential Drugs Company Limited” as an Officer under the department of IT. Though put on different projects initially, soon Iwas given the task of handling the E.R.P or Enterprise Resource Planning modulethat was being developed for a specific part of the company. Which among otherduties became the main focal point of my contribution. As you are already awarethat an ERP module is used to manage the core functionalities of a business andautomate said functionalities in order to keep proper track of all records as well asmake the whole process more efficient. The module is mainly being developed for theMarketing and Accounts department to automate the Tender Contract processes.Now throughout the report I have explained in extensive detail of each and everystep of the whole development process to the project current state at present.Across the development process, I was constantly faced with new and various setsof problems and challenges. But by trying to come up with solutions to each newchallenge gave me the fortitude I needed to push through. Which brings me to saythat the past few months have been very enlightening for me to say the least. I havegained invaluable experience and knowledge that will be useful throughout my life.
