dc.description.abstractThis study explored student engagement and teachers’ perspectives and thoughts about it in the context of Bangladesh primary schools. This are written following the research reviews literature in the area of student engagement. Prior to outlining the specifics of the research, a general overview has been presented based on the broad literature about student engagement for the readers better understating. Teachers from two different government primary schools were interviewed for this research about their understanding about student engagements and how do they practice their pedagogical skills to promote students’ engagements, if there is any. The selected questions were drawn from an extensive research literature understanding teachers’ behaviors the research suggests though teachers have quite similar perceptions about the concept of student engagements; it is quite dissimilar from the existing literature review in some extent.en_US
