Abstract

Denotation of culture and education testifies to the fact that they are intimately associated. In broader sense, culture is not a part of education but it is an education itself. Cultural pattern of a society determines its educational system whereas educational system concurrently affects the culture of a society by shaping and influencing the philosophy and activities of an individual. Education is an instrument of conserving and renewal of culture. That is why people who want to cope up with the progressive world are keen to study the parts of culture to explore the artistic facet of the world. The proposal of the project is to design such a place in the campus of Jahangirnagar University where emerging number of interested students can be facilitated with dedicated functions and spaces. The campus will mainly contain academic classes, gallery, library, cafeteria, indoor and outdoor working areas etc. This paper can mirror the fulfillment of the objective of a department in the university through its architectural design.
