Abstract

The telecom industry in Bangladesh has been performing outstandingly well making it the fifth largest in Asia Pacific. In this dynamic environment, the second largest telecom company currently is Robi Axiata Ltd. The company has been performing outstandingly well in comparison to some of its competitors. However, it still has its fair share of obstacles and hardships when it comes to pricing their products due to various external and internal factors. One of the major responsibilities of the strategic finance team was to determine the pricing strategy and also monitor the trends in APPD and APPM due to any challenges faced by the company. In this paper, the factors contributing to pricing strategies and some challenges faced by them have been highlighted and discussed. The main aim of this paper was to highlight the pricing strategy as well as show how these implementations have resulted in the overall revenue trends for the companies owned by Robi Axiata Ltd.
