Abstract
The proposed 5 Star Hotel at Laboni Beach, Cox’s Bazar, is planned as a major coastal hospitality project proposed by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation to support the growth of high end tourism in Bangladesh. The site is located within the hotel motel zone and directly faces the Bay of Bengal, making it one of the most attractive locations for a luxury resort development.
This project aims to create a comfortable and memorable experience for guests by closely connecting the building with the sea, landscape, and climate. The design follows a guest centric approach where spaces gradually unfold from public to private, allowing visitors to enjoy sea and Hill views, natural light, and open-air environments throughout their stay. Climate responsive design strategies such as natural ventilation, shaded balconies, green terraces, and water features are used to improve comfort.
The hotel is not only designed as a place for accommodation but also as a destination where people can relax, socialize, and experience the biggest sea of the world. Overall, the project aims to promote sustainable tourism while contributing positively to the urban and economic development of the area.
