Retaining and developing talent: the role of training in upskilling and reskilling employees to enhance Akash Digital TV’s business performance and growth

Abstract

This internship report is entitled Retaining and Developing Talent: The Role of Training in Upskilling and Reskilling Employees to Enhance Akash Digital TV’s Business Performance and Growth. It is concerned with the role of employee training in business development and performance. This report will discuss the significance of learning and training as a continuous process that leads to organizational success. The report has three chapters: The first chapter presents a general picture of my internship, such as information about me, the organization, my roles, and responsibilities that I performed. It also talks about the results of the internship and all the challenges I had. The second chapter gives a background on Akash Digital TV, its structure, services, and HR practices-particularly those pertaining to training and development. The third chapter gives the primary analysis of training as an improvement of performance. It involves results, cost-benefit analysis, and industry trends comparison. On the basis of the results, certain recommendations are provided to enhance the training effectiveness.
