Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a significant and prevalent chronic disease with high rates of morbidity and death. The loss of pancreatic cells characterizes type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), For this reason, the body lacks insulin and becomes hyperglycaemic. Exogenous insulin cannot replace the endogenous insulin released by a healthy pancreas by administration or injection. To control blood glucose in T1DM patients, pancreas and islet transplantation have shown very satisfactory results. There have been efforts made to handle the rising number of T1DM patients. Patients who are suffering from T1DM can be treated with very positive results by using stem cell treatment. The objective of this study is to list the categories of stem cells that have the most supporting data for treating type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).en_US
