Abstract

This report highlights my internship experience at Dhaka Tribune, one of the renowned English-language daily newspapers in Bangladesh, known for its role in shaping informed public discourse and upholding journalistic integrity. Interning at such a reputable organization provided me the opportunity to observe and participate in the practical workings of a professional newsroom. During the internship, I was engaged in desk-based tasks such as editing and proofreading news reports, assisting in headline preparation, and organizing content for publication. These responsibilities helped me understand the importance of accuracy, clarity, and ethical responsibility in journalism. The experience also allowed me to apply theoretical concepts from my academic background to real newsroom practices. Overall, the internship at Dhaka Tribune was a meaningful learning experience that strengthened my editorial skills, improved my understanding of media operations, and prepared me for future professional engagements in the media and communication field.
