This internship report looks at digital marketing prospects for SJ Paper and Plastic, a sustainable plastic manufacturing firm founded in 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The firm has two production facilities, employs 150 local people. It contributes to 17% of Bangladesh's total plastic production, with 30% sold to worldwide retailers such as H&M and Zara. Through departmental exposure and direct observation during my 3-month internship, especially in the marketing and product development department, I identified major gaps in the strong and ethical manufacturing and its traditional marketing practices. In spite of their successful production capabilities and commitment to sustainability, SJ Paper and Plastic relies a lot on outdated marketing strategies, mainly an inactive Facebook page and an old website. The organizational examination reveals a mismatch. While the company abides Islamic values, contributes to domestic employment and produces environmentally friendly items, modern consumers are not made aware of these competitive advantages. My findings suggest that without strategic digital transformation, the company is at risk of losing market share to digitally savvy competitors in a marketplace which is becoming more and more environmentally aware. The study recommends the implementation of detailed digital marketing strategies such as social media engagement, influencer collaborations and SEO to properly communicate the firm’s ethical standards and secure an increasing demand for sustainable goods.en_US
