Report on BRAC Bank PLC

Abstract

This report gives the summary of the internship experience at BRAC Bank PLC in the Trade operations department. The major tasks highlighted include processing of Letter of credit (LC), foreign exchange and management of export bills. Chapter 1 gives a background on the internship, the duties at work and the challenges encountered during the internship. Chapter 2 discusses the history of BRAC Bank, its structure, and participation in SME banking and trade finance. In chapter 3, the discussion is on how the bank reacted to political and economic reforms in Bangladesh, based on financial performance and governance. The internship provided the valuable information about the work of the bank and offered the hands-on experience of the trade finance and regulatory compliance, improving the professional skills and knowledge of the industry.
