Abstract

This report is a thorough description of the knowledge I gained and the conclusions I reached while conducting research for my internship at Gemcon Group. The study was carried out at the request of HR Head MR. S M Rakibul Haque to assess the efficacy of the new Recruitment & Selection Process designed specifically for the MTO program at Gemcon. There are three significant chapters in this study. The core research question for this study is covered in the third chapter, which seeks to analyze it through an examination of four different objectives. At first, I have attempted to learn more about the objectives that Gemcon actually hopes to accomplish through this particular procedure, as well as the intended outcome of Gemcon from the MTO program's recruitment and selection process. Then I moved on to finding out the MTO program's recruitment and selection process's real outcomes or the objectives it actually met. The third step was to ascertain the causes of the discrepancy between the MTO program's recruitment and selection process's anticipated and actual results. Finally, I have tried to learn how Gemcon intends to lessen the discrepancy between anticipated and actual results of the recruitment and selection process for the MTO program, as well as how they intend to address the issues that led to this discrepancy. Using the results of the objectives, the report concludes by rendering a judgment on the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process and proposing recommendations in light of that judgment.
