Abstract
This report covers my work experience of a 3-month internship at the credit department of Jamuna Bank PLC Gulshan Corporate Branch. Jamuna Bank PLC is widely recognized for being one of the top innovative and sustainable private banks in the country. This report is intended to be a comprehensive exploration of the strategic risk management of the bank, focusing on both practical applications as well as strategic decision-making.
The beginning of this report includes basic information regarding my internship period and workplace. It provides a short description of the job responsibilities I had in the bank, including the Internal Credit Risk Rating (ICRR) application, Debt Burden Ratio (DBR) modeling, and Credit Information Bureau (CIB) analysis. The middle part of the report contains the basic organizational information of the bank such as its history, mission, and values alongside my involvement in assisting credit officers in their assessments, preparing credit proposals, and monitoring regulatory compliance.
This report focuses on identifying Jamuna Bank PLC's strategic credit risk management. It contains a literature review, data methodology, findings, and analysis of Jamuna Bank PLC's strategic credit risk management approaches alongside some recommendations regarding strategic credit risk management.
