| dc.description.abstract | The East Pakistan Agricultural University, after liberation Bangladesh Agricultural University was established as the only university of its kind in East Pakistan on August 18, 1961. The campus site has an area of 1.87 square miles (4.85 square kilometers). Paul Rudolph from Yale University was given the commission by Muzharul Islam, a Bangladeshi architect. Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is a science-based Institution. The authorities of the BAU are planning to enlarge the accommodation system based on the academic facilities for the students in the future. The demand of agricultural science is increasing day by day as Bangladesh is a fertile land with lots of agricultural history and culture. Without disrupting the nature for like Paul Rudolph did, sustainable and modern design is the best way to enhance the beauty of BAU in a respectful way. Bangladesh Agricultural University is the oldest and largest agriculture-based university in Bangladesh. As the site has enough empty lands and more student and researchers are joining the university every year, more accommodations for their academic purpose is needed. So, some of the field can be taken for development purpose. It will not harm the nature if the design of the new academic zone will respect the late Paul Rudolph and his successful design. | en_US |
