dc.description.abstractColorectal cancer is the second most deadly cancer worldwide. The search for successful treatment by targeted therapy for colorectal cancer is ongoing, and recent advances look promising. In silico study using molecular docking is one way of analyzing approved drugs to repurpose them. Multiple studies have shown the involvement of SPARC protein in the growth and metastasis of colorectal cancer, contributing to its selection as a promising drug target for this study. Molecular docking was carried out and binding affinities of drugs of the five different therapeutic classes with the protein were assessed. Moreover, superimposition and non-bond interactions of the drugs with the protein were visualized and evaluated. Lastly, pharmacokinetic properties of these drugs were analyzed. It was concluded that Griseofulvin and Lemborexant were the most promising candidates for the treatment of colorectal cancer.en_US
