| dc.description.abstract | This report is written as part of the BRAC University, BRAC Business School (BBA) program requirements. I was an intern at the Human Resources Department of the IDLC Finance PLC, the largest multi-product Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) in Bangladesh, founded in 1985 and headquartered in the capital, serving more than 400,000 clients with 40 branches located around the country, between January 8, 2026, and April 13. The first chapter presents a general overview of the internship experience, including the descriptions of the job work, the contribution to the organization, and the overall lessons gained during the work with a corporate HR environment. Chapter 2 entails the structure of the organization of IDLC Finance PLC, including its managerial and marketing practices, financial performance, accounting practices, operations and information systems, and an industry-based analysis in terms of Porter's Five Forces and SWOT analysis. Chapter 3 evaluates the effectiveness of the current talent acquisition process at IDLC as well as the necessity of digitalization of this process. The results indicate the extensive use of manual processes, which leads to inefficiencies in the workflows and an inefficient candidate experience. The report ends with some recommendations or suggestions of how organizations can implement digital HR tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to improve the effectiveness of the recruiting process. | |
