Abstract

This internship report highlights the organizational practices of Uttara Crescent Clinic Limited (UCCL) with regard to the aspect of Human Resource Management, in the context of an internship completed between October 2025 and January 2026 as part of the BBA program at BRAC University. Uttara Crescent Clinic Limited is the first privatized multi-specialty hospital in the Uttara area; it was set up in 2002 and has now become a much-acclaimed health care center with affordable health care facilities for its valued clients. During the time of the internship, the author was an HR Intern and was able to have hands-on exposure in the important aspects of human resource management, such as recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, succession planning, and the use of human resource information systems. This report assesses the management, marketing processes, operating processes, and financials of UCCL. Results reveal that UCCL adheres to organized HR practices, leadership control, training programs, and sound financial management. On the whole, the internship experience has increased my understanding of HR processes in the healthcare industry and has also played a significant role in enhancing my professional skills.
