This internship report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Post Graduate Diploma in Knitwear Industry Management, 2026.
Cataloged from PDF version of internship report.
Includes bibliographical references (pages 25-26).
The report talks about Avery Dennison's product development process, global strategies, and Operational strengths, such as its focus on innovation, sustainability, and putting the customer first. It also points out problems like ERP delays, tight deadlines, and problems with communication between departments. Based on these observations, suggestions were made, such as automating ERP approvals, using AI tools for lifecycle management, carrying out workshops across departments, and giving interns and new hires structured training. This internship helped me learn more about marketing theories like the Product Life Cycle, the Marketing Mix (4Ps), Integrated Marketing Communication, SWOT Analysis, and Consumer Behavior, and it showed me how these ideas are used in real life. It also helped me improve my professional skills, like being able to do more than one thing at once, being flexible, communicating well, and solving problems. Main findings suggest that future competitiveness relies on stronger digital integration and circular design as Bangladesh approaches LDC graduation. Eventually, the report demonstrates a transition from understanding manufacturing phases to mastering the strategic "physical and digital" solutions that generate the modern apparel value chain.
