| dc.description.abstract | The internship was completed using the experience gathered on the general banking activities of DBBL over the three months long attachment at the Chattogram CEPZ branch. It was evident that theoretical concepts and practical application differ in some ways. Thus, the practical handson knowledge gathered on the day-to-day activities at the bank is focused elaborately on this report. The general bank employee provided various key pieces of information which were included in the report. The bank has prioritized supporting Bangladesh's fast-growing manufacturing sector. The justification for this is that Bangladeshi manufactured goods are exported internationally. By funding and focusing on this industry, Bangladesh can achieve the desired economic growth. The other area of focus for DBBL is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Even though CSR has become overused, DBBL is the pioneer in this. DBBL is the largest bank donor in Bangladesh due to its investments in this industry. The distinctive strategy as a socially conscious bank, the bank has won numerous international awards in the past. The three-month internship program was a great eye opener on commercial banks operation and customer dealings. As one of the top non-governmental organizations, the activities of DBBL CEPZ Branch are focused on this report. Information on every commercial activity that the bank engages in are included in this report. In this report general banking system of DBBL is mainly analyzed. The routine operations of the bank are categorized as general banking operations. The information regarding various types of account holders, as well as accounts like savings accounts, current accounts, Fixed Deposit Rates (FDR), Pension Savings Schemes (PSS), and other existing accounts with their rates are included in this report. Moreover, a survey result of customer impression on DBBL is included in this report which shows the overall reach of the bank in handling customers from different socio-economic backgrounds. | en_US |
