This report documents the six-month internship journey in the Human Resources department of HSBC Bangladesh, specifically in the Performance and Rewards team. The internship provided exposure to real-life HR functions, including wellness initiatives, talent acquisition, event coordination, and employee engagement. Note-worthy projects include the CEO Award, Mental Health First Aider Training Program, and Exchange Sessions on culture with EXCO members. The core research is grounded in the transformation of remote work on performance management practices in the banking sector. After analyzing qualitative and survey-based data from HSBC employees, the results suggest that while the remote setup has either maintained or improved productivity, concerns such as communication gaps and visibility issues still remain. Such findings entail that the use of digital tools, clearer KPIs, regular feedback, and outcome-based evaluation can further enhance remote performance management. Hence, this report tries to combine academic learning with practical insights and brings forward suggestions for a more inclusive and effective HR practice in hybrid work setups.en_US
