Report on blue planet knitwear limited. functional overview of key departments

Abstract

As part of the Post Graduate Diploma in Knitwear Industry Management, I obtained practical experience across numerous important departments. Blue Planet Knitwear Limited is a sister firm of the respected Blue Planet Group, well-known in the RMG industry. The firm specializes in exporting 100% completed items, including seamless T-shirts, joggers, and children’s clothes. With a trained staff and a solid merchandising team, the plant has progressively expanded its order volume, principally supplying markets in Europe and the USA. Throughout the internship, I concentrated on learning the daily operations and duties of seven departments: Marketing & Merchandising, HR & Administration, Industrial Engineering, Planning, Fabric Technical, Store & Inventory, and Commercial. This report attempts to show the ways different departments operate to contribute to the company’s success while revealing prospects for progress. It also reflects on my personal development and professional advancement over this fantastic internship.
