This internship report examines how Jamuna Television has successfully transformed from a traditional broadcaster into a leading global digital news powerhouse by 2026. Drawing on the direct experience as a News Anchor and Staff Correspondent at the channel, the study analyses the practical application of marketing strategies in a high-pressure 24/7 newsroom environment. At the core of Jamuna TV’s market dominance is its multi-platform funnel dissemination strategy, which seamlessly integrates the depth and institutional authority of satellite broadcasting with the speed, reach, and virality of social media. The channel’s stable 720p HD satellite signal ensures reliable delivery across rural Bangladesh. Complementing this foundation, Facebook drives immediate viral engagement through professionally designed NewsCards and micro-content, while YouTube serves as a permanent, searchable archive for in-depth journalism, live streaming, and niche programming. Strategic diaspora marketing through time-zone synchronization enables Jamuna TV to attract international audience. This multi-platform approach propelled Jamuna TV to over 30 million YouTube subscribers and 21 million Facebook followers by February 2026. Overall, Jamuna TV demonstrates that in the age of social media, credibility itself has become the ultimate competitive advantage. It maintains culture of producing credible news through Triangular Verification Model, the Octopus NRCS-enabled Gatekeeping Protocol, and a Social Media Fact-Check Unit (SMFCU). The report concludes with targeted recommendations to strengthen cross-platform synergy, empower anchors, expand diaspora content, institutionalize forensic literacy, and develop future talent, ensuring the channel’s continued leadership in both reach and trust.
