Abstract

This internship report encapsulates my three months long experience as an HR intern in “SAK Consumer Products Limited”. The company officially launched its operations since August 11th, 2024, and was established through a team of experienced and highly skilled professionals under the inspirational guidance and leadership of the Managing Director with the aim of to disrupt the FMCG sector in Bangladesh. The objective of the report is to analyze the existing recruitment and selection process of “SAK Consumer Products Limited” identify the areas that need improvement and provide recommendations applying academic learnings. To prepare the report, both primary and secondary data were utilized. The primary data were derived from my observations, and personal experiences during the internship, and detailed discussions with the HR director. Secondary data were sourced from the company website, annual reports, newspaper articles and scholarly journals. The findings reveal that the current recruitment and selection process is notably lengthy, primarity due to outdated HR practices and shortage of manpower. Based on these insights, the report offers practical recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process. This report also seeks to provide valuable insights and actionable strategies for improving HR operations at SAK Consumer Products Limited.
