Abstract

This report evaluates the contribution of training investments in Daraz Bangladesh to employee performance through integrating financial, Human resource and observations during my internship in the Talent acquisition and Development Department. I was able to have a practical experience with the development of employee development as a driver of productivity and operational efficiency through the roles of recruiting coordinators, onboarding support, training facilitation, HR data management and the creation of a Power BI dashboard. The results suggest that the employees do appreciate training, although most feel that the programs need to be more available, practical and with organised follow-up assessments. The financial performance on the 2020-2024 indicates that Daraz is gradually decreasing losses and becoming more cost-efficient due to enhanced logistics and technology-enhanced by the quality workforce. The research in general finds that the quality training investment has direct positive impacts on the performance of employees and the overall organizational outcomes and advises to increase training coverage, enhance the evaluation systems and enhance the data-driven HR decision-making.
