| dc.description.abstract | A father is an important part of a child‟s life. His presence or absence can determine how a child grows up eventually. Because children who have regular positive interactions with their fathers regulate their emotions better than children who have no contact with their fathers(Lansford, 2021).The purpose of this study was to explorefathers' involvement in child care with preschool children in rural areas. Group discussions and in-depth interviews (IDI‟s) were conducted to collect the data.The findings section is divided into several themes and sub-themes. First the study discovered the perception of rural fathers regarding fathers‟ involvement in child care with preschool children. Second, the explored the role and responsibilities of the fathers in taking care of their children. Thirdly, the study revealed the activities that the rural fathers practices in regarding to support child development. And lastly, the participants mentioned about the challenges that the rural fathers daily faces regarding their involvement in the child care and development.Based on the findings and discussions some recommendations were suggested. Finally, the report concludes with future research suggestions and directions in this area. | en_US |
