Abstract

This report is prepared on the basis of my three-month practical experiences from 26. 04.2011 to 26.07.2011 at United Commercial Bank Limited. I worked there to complete my internship which is a significant part of my BBA Program. This internship program helped me to learn about the practical scenario of the general banking division of the banking industry. UCBL is one of the first generation private sector Banks in Bangladesh, started its commercial operations from mid 1983 and has since been able to establish one of the largest network of 108 branches in six different districts with 21 Authorized Dealer (AD) branches with their name. They stood 6th among the 52 banks which include 10 specialized banks, 9 foreign banks and 30 private banks. This report has been presented based on my observation and experience gathered from the company. The organization has many divisions and departments. But, New Eskaton Branch has only one department which is the General Banking department. Therefore, the focus is given on the level of employee satisfaction in General Banking Division as I only got the opportunity to work there. The report mentions about the facilities and benefits United Commercial Bank Limited provides to their employees. A research is conducted to draw a conclusion on the effects of these facilities and benefits. The result that is found is quite considerable. According to my opinion, United Commercial Bank Limited should work a lot to convince and sustain their existing employees. The result of the research is described in details in this report in the later chapters.
