| dc.description.abstract | During my internship at C&A Sourcing Bangladesh within the Product Development & Sourcing (PDS) department, I’ve learned to connect academic theory with the practical application of this global retailer. I have learned to manage data for large to medium-sized stores. For example, handling the 300k scuba sweatshirt program, I have applied lean manufacturing to minimize the cost and ensure production precision. I analyzed the impact of sustainable materials (T2T Polyester), specifically observing how Circulose Viscose will influence both lead times and FOB pricing. This experience transformed my understanding of the supply chain, proving that minor adjustments in fabric consumption or marker efficiency significantly impact brand profitability. Ultimately, this role highlighted the vital intersection of sustainable production and C&A’s circularity goals. I leave with a sharpened ability to navigate high-pressure sourcing environments, ready to contribute to a more ethical, sustainable and efficient textile industry. | |
