Abstract

The internship report is on the Standard Chartered Bank one of the country’s leading multinational banks operating now for more than 150 years. The report has been organized in five major sections. In the first part which is the “Introduction” part; the objective of writing the report, its scope, sources of collected information, & limitation faced while writing the report has been mentioned. The second part of the report is about “The Organization: Standard Chartered Bank”. Here brief history of the bank, about Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh, Its Strategic Intent, Brand Promise, Vision, Mission, Objectives, Values & most importantly SWOT analysis has been discussed. In the next section there is a brief discussion about the Unit named Local Collection Unit (LCU) which falls under the department named Cash Management Operations (CMO) of the Standard Chartered Bank. After that the four products of Local Collection Unit has been discussed thoroughly. In the end of this section - how to improve cash management practice in Bangladesh & the advantages of the Local Collection Unit has been included. In final two sections the report was concludes with few of the recommendation that I thought can make the process more efficient and ends with references of some of the sources that have supported me in finishing this report.
