The report attempted to highlight major trends, challenges and provide appropriate recommendations aiming to improve productivity, sustainability and competitiveness. A sustainability audit of Manufacturing Operations and a manufacturing process audit were carried out to assess the efficiency of existing operations, the quality of products, and the extent of waste generated. Improvements will be made by adopting lean manufacturing techniques, capital investment in automation, and enhancing the quality of the products we manufacture. The findings and recommendations of this report will be used as a basis for the formulation of a sustainability strategy that shall inter alia address the procurement of sustainable materials, resource efficiency in the manufacturing processes, reduction of waste, to name but a few. The report also emphasizes the digital transformation of the company. With the help of digital technologies, companies can gain a deeper understanding of customer preferences and thereby create products and experiences that are tailored to customer needs, leading to enhanced customer satisfaction. In conclusion, this report relates to the themes of sustainability, efficiency, and digitalisation. We recommend, based on the survey, introducing measures in order to increase productivity and sustainability, and above all, to promote innovation, customer satisfaction and future viability.
