In the fiercely competitive consumer goods market of Bangladesh, Soapy is positioned as a local manufacturing brand with a dedication to offering top-tier quality products. This endeavor is particularly targeted at superseding the number one international brand. Unlike other local manufacturers, Soapy has identified a niche within the premium detergent segment, where there is currently only one flagship brand. The potential within this premium segment is substantial, estimated at around 400 crore BDT per year. Soapy's objective is to capture 10% of this market share, resulting in an approximate annual revenue of 40 crore BDT. Although the corporate sector traditionally shies away from premium products due to their higher price points, Soapy recognizes the opportunity to cater to corporate consumers seeking a balance between quality and affordability. In categorizing detergent products by quality, Soapy positions itself as a Category B product, offering an optimal blend of quality and pricing that aligns with the preferences of corporate buyers. Interestingly, Category A products like Surf excel and Jet primarily target the consumer market, leaving the corporate sector largely untapped. Corporate detergent purchases are driven by various factors, including industrial applications, usage in official kitchens, and corporate gifting. Industries such as washing factories, tile manufacturing units, and garment manufacturing constitute the B2B segment. Notably, the pharmaceutical industry presents a substantial market, with 175 top-tier companies engaging in regular corporate gifting, including detergent products in gift packages for doctors. Soapy's strategic focus is to capture the corporate gift purchaser segment within the pharmaceutical industry, thereby targeting banks, insurance companies, corporate houses, and related sectors. This approach leverages the association between gift receivers and Category A product users, a segment that has remained largely untapped by other detergent brands. In summary, Soapy's ambitious project aims to establish a formidable presence in the corporate market by providing high-quality detergent solutions at competitive prices. The unique strategy of targeting gift purchases within the pharmaceutical sector positions Soapy for substantial growth and market expansion in Bangladesh.en_US
