Abstract

I have completed a twelve-week internship program at the Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). It was a great learning experience for me and I took the opportunity to learn about their cash management operations and financial performance analysis as much as possible. Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) is one of the leading multinational financial institutions. This report has been presented based on my observation and experience gathered from this banking institution. They have many divisions and departments; however, my primary focus was given more on Local Collection Unit (LCU) under the department of Cash Management Operations (CMO) of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). This report also provides a clear idea based on my observations and analysis whether the stakeholders are satisfied on the products and services they provide or in the recommendations part – a better way to improvise the system and culture to create new possibilities. In this report, you would find out my role as an intern as well as tasks and responsibilities carried out at their corporate head office in Bangladesh. I have made some recommendations at the last part of my report based on my observations to foster excellence and absolute professionalism. My conclusion was drawn based on the information I have gathered during the last twelve weeks at the Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Bangladesh.
