Abstract

This thesis is an attempt to conceptualize an unique platform for the Bangladesh Buddhist community as a whole irrespective of the division of caste, sect and individual perspective towards Buddhism. It delves into the historical, cultural, religious and philosophical dimensions of a Buddhist Monastery. Also examining its role in promoting Bangladesh Buddhist culture, architectural individuality, heritage and fostering cultural exchange, through interdisciplinary research methods like, historical analysis, architectural study, and sociocultural aspects. The thesis further investigates the significance and impacts of the Bangladesh Monastery and Cultural Complex within the Lumbini Conservation Area. The study seeks to contribute as attempt to abstraction of Philosophical understandings without hurting any religious sentiments.
