Abstract

This internship experience, in the Information Technology Division of the City Bank PLC, has been a crucial link between theory and practical knowledge in the banking industry IT practices. The program offered a platform to use theoretical knowledge on practical issues and also develop vital skills of technical documentation, problem-solving approaches through teamwork, and understanding organization processes. One of the key highlights during this internship was the building of a prototype of a Core Banking System (CBS), that modeled the essential banking processes, including, but not limited to account management and fund transfers, as well as loan processes. This project provided an informative experience on system design, database management, and the incorporation of secure authentication controls, per the operational needs of financial organization at present day. This experience contributed to both my academic and professional growth. This report displays the experiences and challenges of the industry also portrays the development process, challenges, and way of overcoming those challenges of Core Banking System project in detail.
