Impact of BRAC Bank's agricultural finance initiatives on rural development

Abstract

This report provides an in-depth look at my internship experience with BRAC Bank PLC, focusing on the responsibilities I undertook, the impact of my work, and the obstacles faced. It begins with an overview of BRAC Bank, detailing its organizational structure, operations, and background. A key highlight of the report is the impact of BRAC Bank's Agricultural Finance Initiatives on rural development. By supporting rural farmers and collaborating with Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) and SMEs, BRAC Bank serves an essential role in improving the standard of living, productivity, and income levels in these communities. Additionally, these initiatives promote enduring farming practices and empower women economically. Despite these positive outcomes, challenges like deficiencies in financial understanding and climate-related risks remain areas of concern.
