This report aims to address how the use of Information and Database Management Systems helps a global powerhouse in the oil & gas industry like Chevron Bangladesh and its role in interdepartmental communication. The purpose of this study is to gather data, observe, evaluate, and show the impact and importance of these systems in the day-to-day operations of Chevron Bangladesh. The methods used to gather the data was through primary qualitative and quantitative research and observational research. Two survey questionnaires were prepared using Google Forms. One for a public survey and another for Chevron Bangladesh employees. For data visualization, Google Forms and Power BI has been used. After successfully gathering and evaluating the data, I was able to come to the conclusion that storing information and data in this system helped with decision-making, interdepartmental communication, and helped operate the organization. In addition, after conducting the observational research, I was able to identify the generational acceptance of these systems and how the lawyers and legal department have slowly started incorporating these systems.
