Abstract

This report is about my six-month internship at ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno) in the HR Department (Training and Compliance Team), which I finished from February 12, 2024, to August 12, 2024. An internship was mandatory for my Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Brac Business School at Brac University. Shwapno's HR department, under the leadership of the Head of HR, is split into multiple crucial functions. In the field of Training and Development, I assisted with organizing and evaluating training sessions, gaining insight into successful employee advancement and improvement. I took part in audits and oversaw compliance records in the Compliance and Maintenance department, increasing my knowledge of regulatory requirements. This position required overseeing payroll and benefits to guarantee equitable compensation policies. In Performance Management and Appraisal, I was in charge of developing performance metrics and carrying out evaluations. Shwapno manages various departments including e-commerce, corporate procurement, distribution and marketing, all of which are essential for doing business. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the company places great value on helping farmers directly and encouraging sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. The training prepared me for future career opportunities in the industry and gave me valuable experience in HR.
