Abstract

This report has emphasis towards City Bank PLC’s recruitment and selection process and its compliance with bank’s commitment for SDGs that is the Chapter Three. The analysis is based on internship experiences, and the results of observations and secondary information, particularly from organizational records and scholarly publications. It draws the line between the systematic recruitment processes used by City Bank, including workforce planning, sourcing, selection and final hiring procedures. Significant focus is placed on affirmative hiring practices that support equal opportunity, equity at work, and skills development leading to SDG 8 which is Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). As a results indicate that City Bank has relationship with ethical recruitment, observance of labour law, and meritocratic practice to meet the sustainable work force requirements. Nevertheless, the report identifies instances where things can be improved by optimizing digital recruitment tools, and streamlining operations. The research ultimately provides recommendations for the improvement of human resource practices in line with the sustainable development goals and sustainability of the organization in the long run.
