In this report, the third chapter describes the barriers faced by employees while working during the pandemic in Bangladesh in retail industry. The main theme of this study was to find the barriers that employees faced during COVID-19 pandemic. This study is conducted based on the qualitative data collected through interviews of six Bangladeshi employees from retail industry. Through the interviews, three distinct categories of barriers were analyzed. The findings were that the employees faced personal barriers such as deteriorating mental and physical health, communication barriers, then work-life balance barriers which relates to social barriers and lastly organizational barriers such as late salaries, less incentives, no reactive strategy plans, unjustified lay offs.
