Masco Group: Optimizing knit garment manufacturing through systematic planning and lean IE practices

Abstract

This report is prepared based on 66 days internship through practical experience and theoretical knowledge in different departments of Masco Group. By working in my own department it was not allowed me to get a practical knowledge of many departments, but this internship helped me a lot to complete my tasks. It is one of the largest knit composite establishment set up in Bangladesh, arranged with advanced machinery, techniques and equipment. To deliver excellent goods to its clients, Masco Group has an professional expert in quality and production staff in addition to a proactive business team. This report has been written based on my observation and experience gathered from the five departments of the company: Merchandising & Marketing Department, Knitting Department, Dyeing Department, Supply Chain Management Department, HR Department.
