Abstract

Serving as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master at a small technology company in Bangladesh, this internship report documents the professional practices I observed and the scholarly research I conducted. Techniques Acquired: ● Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog maintenance, reviews, and retrospectives comprise agile frameworks. ● Serving leaders, obstacle removal, and cross-functional coordination define Scrum facilitation. ● Eliciting, recording, and improving user stories and acceptance criteria constitutes requirement engineering. ● Managing stakeholders by means of correspondence to both internal teams and outside partners helps to match expectations. ● Working with QA staff, one can embed testing activities inside every sprint. Lean Product Thinking: Business value and user comments guide iterative feature prioritizing. Research Topic: The report also contains a qualitative study called "Challenges Associated with the Practice of Agile Methodology in Small‑Scale IT Companies in Bangladesh." Researchers analyzed five semi‑structured interviews using NVivo to find common themes that have an impact on Agile adoption in local start‑ups. These themes include resource limitations, ceremony consistency, leadership involvement, and communication barriers. The study sums up these problems and provides general suggestions to implement Agile more in similar situations.
