A case study of the financial and operational performance of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC with comparative industry analysis

Abstract

This report provides a comprehensive review of the Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC (UHR PLC), one of the leading companies in the luxury hospitality industry in Bangladesh, and its financial and operational performance. To determine competitive position, the study assesses the liquidity, solvency, profitability, efficiency, and valuation ratios of UHR PLC and compares them with those of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Ltd. and The Peninsula. It also examines the effectiveness of the operation of this company, including automation, cost management, and brand partnerships that enhance efficiency. The results show that UHR PLC has good financial health and competent operations but that it can be further automated and integrated with sustainability. The report ends by giving practical recommendations to enhance financial control, technology development, and future growth.
