dc.description.abstractThe research paper aims to explore the problems of English language teaching in online teaching-learning classroom. The paper focuses on the problems that the teachers are facing while taking online classes and some of the strategies they follow to overcome the situation and make the best online teaching platform. For conducting the research, the researcher follows qualitative research method to analyze the data which is collected through taking one to one telephone interview of the participants. The participants are the language teachers of English medium schools who teach students of class five. Therefore, the research paper expressed online teaching problems and some strategies the teachers follow to design their online classes and teach accordingly. Moreover, the researcher used semi-structured interview and classroom observation for collecting data. The data is collected from six participants through taking interview and the researcher observed three online language classes to get authentic information. After collecting data, the researcher used deductive approach of thematic analysis for analyzing the collected data. Therefore, this study identifies some of the major problems in virtual teaching such as lack of communicative tasks, lack of technological expertise, ethical issues, new methods for engaging students. However, as the study is conducted during the pandemic, it has some limitations along with the scope of further studies.en_US
