| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is to explore the correlation between the pronunciation of Standard Second (English) Language and ESL (English as a second language) learner’s dialect impact on their pronunciation. The study delves into the impact of dialect on the spoken English of Bangladeshi ESL (English as a second language) learners, particularly in the speaking component. The aim is to ascertain the extent to which the dialectic influence affects the proficiency of ESL learners in spoken English. The paper examines various factors that contribute to the dialectic impact, including cultural and social influences, and proposes strategies to mitigate the effects of dialect on spoken English proficiency. The researcher who conducted the study selected a diverse group of participants for the research paper, all of whom were professionals with a graduate degree. The data collection process involved the use of qualitative research methods, as the paper required an in-depth interview session with the participants’ audio recordings for data analysis. The researcher aimed to furnish an extensive and detailed understanding of the subject matter through the use of these methods. | en_US |
