| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper was to investigate the role of transformational leadership through which employees' engagement rate for Green HRM (GHRM) can be enhanced in WeGro Technologies Ltd. This study was conducted for the purpose of finding shortfalls in the organizations sustainability practices and recommend what could be done to improve. WeGro is externally starting to preach about sustainability, but internally, they have no green policies in their human resources practices. Leadership declares commitment to sustainability goals, but employees have no clear course of action, incentives, or opportunities to contribute. Sustainability is not included in recruiting, training, and performance assessment, which restricts staff from undertaking pro-environmental behaviors. Unstructured GHRM, lack of communication on sustainability, and a lack of initiatives towards green workplace hinder employees’ participation. It was also difficult for an intern to impact company-wide sustainability initiatives in a short time span. Integrating the leadership, HRM, and sustainability perspectives will improve WeGro's environmental impact and employee commitment. By adopting these approaches, WeGro can further establish itself as an industry pioneer in sustainable agri-fintech fostering a passionate and eco-friendly employee base. | en_US |
