Abstract

Different philosophical advancements have influenced human civilisation from an early age, whether it be through its literal, cultural, social, or architectural components. Literature and art, which serve as a platform for such intellectual development, are crucial in influencing how individuals conduct their lives and how they view the world. Rabindranath Tagore, known as Visya Kabi (Poet of the Universe), was one of the great pioneers of the 19th and 20th centuries who helped spur this progress. In the field of literature, Rabindranath Tagore is a charismatic and diverse author. His writing seems to speak to Bengalis' spirits and inspire newly developed literary passions. His contribution to the development of new educational concepts, meanwhile, has been overshadowed by his popularity as a poet. A significant portion of the great poet's life is still preserved in the area of Dakshindi, Phultola, which is located between Jessore and Khulna and is home to the father-in-law's residence of the great poet. In 1995, the district commissioner Riazul Haque and a few other art enthusiasts came up with the idea to build a cultural institute that would preserve the existing building and serve as a hub for cultural practice where all types of creative and diverse socio-cultural activities could be planned and carried out. Residents of a community desire a location where they can congregate, share ideas, and develop their aesthetic sensibilities. A proposal for such a complex would also need to make an effort to comprehend Tagore's philosophy and include his educational ideas in order to discover a way to construct that harmoniously blended with the surrounding social or natural environment. The existing structure (Rabindra Bhaban) must also be respected and preserved by the design in order to portray Rabindra Complex as a conservation project.
