| dc.description.abstract | The project report is a reflection of my experience as an intern in Accenture Footwear and Leather Goods Ltd. during that period I had to study the training and development process of the company. Accenture is an innovative enterprise in the footwear and leather goods sector, acclaimed for its superior-quality designs and business models. The company has been able to achieve a rapid local and international presence due to its good manufacturing qualities and a well-controlled human resources dependency. The purpose of the report is to critically evaluate the current training scheme and then to detail advice on what needs to be improved in the future. The overall purpose of this report is to improve the training program and make it more effective for all involved. The report combines theory and practice to explore the impact of training and development on organizational effectiveness. Primary and secondary data were used. Data originated from field notes, which, like personal experiences and informal interviews with HR staff, department heads and workers, are primary sources. Secondary data was gathered from company literature, annual reports, research papers, and trade journals. The results show that while the Company has developed a formal in-house training program, aimed at up-skilling and ensuring quality control, there are challenges. These are infrequent use of technologies and/or tools, different types of evaluation and lack of personalized learning alternatives. More interactive modules, mentorship and frequent performance reviews were identified as the potential areas for improvement by staff. According to these observations, the report suggests integrating e-learning platforms, monitoring and supervision based on AI, extended hands-on practice, and mentorship paths. The (continued) development of engagement and leadership development programs would also enhance the firm’s HR mix and help ensure long-term success. | en_US |
