Abstract

Belgacha thana is a trade hub of Islampur Upazilla in Jamalpur district of Mymensingh Division in Bangladesh. Belgacha thana is adjacent to Jamuna River and Brahmaputra River making it a trade hub for the surrounding villages. The villagers in the area faces health problems due to yearly flood and other health issues and also it is difficult for the people to obtain professional medical aid during crisis. There are no healthcare facilities in Belgacha thana thus people of this area go to their nearby towns to seek medical aid which takes a significant amount of time putting the people’s life in risk. Healthcare architecture is also least practiced in the locality and also due to Covid 19 healthcare architecture is having a significant change. Thus, to help the locality seek medical help and develop altogether a general hospital is needed. Therefore, the focus of the project will be to facilitate features of a proper general hospital and produce a design on the basis of Covid 19 situation and also create a human friendly environment to help people learn and heal physically and mentally. Also creating a sustainable nature friendly institute which can be flood resistant and work as a shelter for people during crisis.
