The growing demand for urban resilience and biodiversity conservation in the rapidly developing Dhaka city underscores the importance of reimagining traditional spaces. Here, the study aims to explore how the Dhaka Zoo, generally regarded solely as a venue for animal exhibition, can be metamorphosed into multifunctional urban ecosystems. Ecocentric architectural principles, adaptive climate strategies, biodiversity enhancement, and public participation will be integrated into the development of post-anthropocentric zoo design during the redesign process. The research investigates how zoos in rapidly urbanizing Dhaka can adapt to redefine both ecological and community needs through empathy towards animals and nature. Expert advice in zoology will be instrumental in this work, as we explore sustainable zoo models and demonstrate how the Dhaka Zoo can serve as a model for climate-resilient urban ecosystems.en_US
