Assay of Sodium bicarbonate tablet commercially available in Bangladesh

Abstract

The quality of Pharmaceutical products need to be strictly maintained to ensure safety. The USP provides strong guidelines checking and ensuring quality of pharmaceutical products. In this study the potency of commercially available sodium bicarbonate tablets was determined and their quality was evaluated. Out of four brands that were assessed three met specifications set by USP. This study demonstrates their high quality of the products manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh and identifies scope of future studies.
