Abstract
The Bangotaj Memorial Museum is designed to honor Tajuddin Ahmad, the first Prime
Minister of Bangladesh and an important leader in the Liberation War. This project tells
the story of his life, his work for the country, and his tragic death through architecture.
The site is located next to his home, a school, and a mosque, which makes the place
special and meaningful. The design takes visitors on a journey, starting from an entry and
admin area, then moving through exhibition galleries that show different parts of his life.
The journey ends at a quiet waterbody, where visitors can stop and reflect.
The museum also includes a library and a multipurpose hall to support learning and
community events. Light, space, and materials are used carefully to create an emotional
and respectful experience. This museum is not just a building—it is a way to remember,
learn, and feel connected to our history.
